Local Businesses Whipping Up "Dill-icious" Treats For Picklesburgh
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The 35-foot pickle balloon will rise again for Picklesburgh this weekend on the Rachel Carson Bridge.
Market Street Grocery will be there, with dill pickle ice cream.
"Made right here on the premises," says co-owner Ralph Falvo. "Loved by all pregnant women. I haven't been pregnant, so I never tried it."
Take our word for it. It's the real dill.

They're also chopping pickles at Fabulous Homemade Cookies bakery in Canonsburg. They pack a peck of pickles in their creamy cookie dough.
Owner Liza Betsch says her butterscotch pretzel cookies are new this year.
For last year's Picklesburgh, she says, "I came up with a peanut butter pickle cookie, and sauerkraut brownies."
The bakery sold so many, they wound up in a real pickle.
"We kept running out of stuff," she said. "So this year, we're geared up, getting ready for the people of Pittsburgh who love their pickles."
The Picklesburgh celebration will be held noon to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. For more information on the celebration, visit their website here!
