Police: White Oak Couple Likely Died Of Overdose In Home

WHITE OAK (KDKA) – Police are investigating after two people were found dead in White Oak Wednesday night.

White Oak Police were called to the home in the 600 block of Osborne Street.

The White Oak police chief said all indications are that there were two overdoses inside the home. The man and the woman were pronounced dead around 9:30 p.m.

A neighbor told KDKA-TV's Lisa Washington that she'd not seen the woman who lives there since last Friday, when she returned home from work.

The neighbor said the woman's white car hadn't left the driveway in several days.

The neighbor thought a strong odor in the neighborhood was possibly a dead animal and called a landscaper to cut the shrubs near the creek.

She later learned that bodies were inside the home.

The medical examiner's office says the bodies of the man and woman were decomposed.

Police have not said if the deaths are connected to an especially potent batch of heroin believed to be responsible for drug overdoses in Beaver County.
