Pennsylvania Prison Locked Down After 2 Inmates Stabbed
DALLAS, Pa. (AP) - A state prison has been locked down in northeastern Pennsylvania after two inmates were stabbed with homemade weapons during a fight.
Robin Lucas, an assistant to the prison's superintendent, tells the (Wilkes-Barre) Times-Leader that prison officials quickly ended the dispute Wednesday morning at the State Correctional Institution-Dallas. That's about 25 miles southwest of Scranton.
She says it's common for corrections officials to lock down a facility after such a fight. Usually, the facility is swept for other illegal weapons and contraband after such an incident.

The names of the inmates haven't been released, but their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The state police are investigating and will decide whether charges will be filed. The prison is also conducting its own internal investigation into the fight and the weapons involved.
