PennDOT Marking National Child Passenger Safety Week

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- PennDOT is marking National Child Passenger Safety Week by urging parents to get their car seats checked.

State law requires children under the age of 2 be secured in a rear-facing car seat.

Children up to 4 must ride in a rear- or front-facing car seat, and kids 4-8 must ride in a booster seat.

There will be car seat fitting events across our area throughout the week.
