Cops: Man Says He Kidnapped 12-Year-Old At Knife Point As A Joke

THOMPSONTOWN, Pa. (AP) - State police say a Pennsylvania man has been charged with kidnapping a 12-year-old boy at knife point and then abandoning him.

WHP-TV reports police say Julio Luna-Contreras of Mifflintown entered through a window of the boy's Walker Township home on Tuesday and threatened to kill the child if he didn't come.

Police say he drove the child to Montoursville and abandoned him after the boy told Luna-Contreras to drop him off.

The boy's family told investigators Luna-Contreras has previously said he wanted the boy for himself and felt attracted to him.

Police say Luna-Contreras told investigators the situation was a joke.

Luna-Contreras remains jailed without bail on charges including kidnapping and falsely imprisoning a minor. It's not known if he has a lawyer.
