Police: Nanny Charged In Death Of Baby Force Fed Liquid

WASHINGTON (AP) - A Maryland woman working as a nanny has been arrested after police said she force fed an 8-month-old baby girl who died.

Prince George's County Police said Wednesday that 66-year-old Oluremi Oyindasola of Glenarden, Maryland, has been charged with second-degree murder, first-degree child abuse resulting in death and other offenses.

Police say a home surveillance system recorded Oyindasola napping when the crying child approached in a toddler walker. Police charging documents say Oyindasola unsuccessfully tried feeding the child, then "proceeded to pour a large amount of white liquid directly inside the victim's mouth."

Police say the child, who was force-fed a second bottle, had "difficulty breathing and signs of medical distress."

Online court records didn't list a lawyer for Oyindasola, who's being held on $1 million bond.
