7-Year-Old Girl Rescued From Pa. Fire Dies Days After Her Sister

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - A fire official says a 7-year-old Pennsylvania girl rescued from a fast-moving house fire earlier this month has died.

Harrisburg Fire Chief Brian Enterline says 7-year-old Destiny Johnson died Tuesday of injuries suffered in the Nov. 9 blaze.

Her sister, 15-year-old Shanice Johnson, died Sunday.

The girls were trapped on the home's second floor when firefighters arrived, and were in cardiac arrest when they were pulled from the blaze.

Three other people were injured in the fire, but were released from the hospital after treatment.

Enterline says the fire was ruled accidental but the exact cause is unclear.

The sisters' deaths are the first fire fatalities in Harrisburg since an October 2010 blaze that killed five.
