A statement from the school superintendent Dr. Erica L. Kolat indicates that a written threat was found in the restroom.

Upon discovery of the threat, the school immediately went into lockdown. Emergency personnel were notified and responded to assist with evacuation.

Students were dismissed around 1 p.m.
