Cops: Woman Accused Of Killing Husband Took Photo & Shower Before Calling 911

FRAZER TOWNSHIP (KDKA/AP) - A woman accused of fatally shooting her husband, sending a picture of the body to a friend and taking a shower before calling 911 has been arrested.

Allegheny County police say Frazer Township police and paramedics were called to the home on Crawford Run Road about 10:30 p.m. Monday and found the victim, 42-year-old Dennis Drum Sr., dead. He had suffered a single gunshot wound to the forehead.

"Our officers arrived on the scene, they discover the victim in this case in a bedroom," said Chief Terry Kuhns, of Frazer Township Police.

Police say 38-year-old Teresa Drum was drinking when she got into a fight with her husband over a casserole she burned earlier in the evening.

She told police her husband was angry because she drank his last beer and he pulled out a gun. Teresa said the gun went off when she pushed it away.

In another version of her story, she told police her finger was also on the trigger, along with her husband's, when the shot was fired.

After the shot was fired, Teresa took a picture of Dennis and sent it to a friend, who told her to call 911. Teresa told police she took a shower to "rinse off" before calling 911.

"Initially, she reported to my officers that she had taken a picture of her husband and sent it to a friend of him lying on the floor," said Chief Kuhns.

When she called 911, she said, "Me and my husband were fighting and he just shot himself."

While speaking with police, she said she saw the gun fall on the ground. However, officers found it in the victim's hand. According to police, no gun could be seen in the photo she took of her husband.

Court documents don't indicate an attorney representing Teresa Drum and it was unclear whether she has an attorney. She was taken to the county jail to await arraignment on a charge of criminal homicide.

Police said they had been to the house once before for a domestic problem. The couple's two children were home at the time of the shooting.
