One Person Shot & Killed In Butler Co. Home

BUTLER (KDKA) — At least one person was shot inside a Butler County home on Thursday.

It happened in the 100-block of Wick Street around 10:30 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found a 20-year-old male dead, with bullet wounds to the head and chest.

Neighbors said they are devastated by the violent crime, but that something needed to be done to end the trouble going on in the apartment.

“I’m kind of glad something had to happen for somebody to do something, to keep my children safe,” said Carissa Cribbs.

“I sit and watch people go in and out of that place like it’s Sheetz or something, like they’re selling Sheetz coffee out of there or something,” said Dustin Miller.

Police say they have not confirmed that drugs were being sold out of the home, but that is what neighbors believe.

“They’re running drugs, I’d say it’s heroin, because we’ve had two overdoses in the past two months over there, we’ve had people taken out on stretchers,” Miller said.

Officers are investigating to see if a stolen vehicle that crashed into a house just a few blocks away from the shooting may somehow be related.
