Mother, 6 Children Lose Everything In Butler County House Fire

BUTLER (KDKA) -- A woman and her six children lost everything when a fire destroyed their home in Butler County early Sunday morning.
It started around 12:30 a.m. at a home in the 100 block of Dittmer Road in Herman.
Bill Smith, a neighbor's son, captured video of the house completely engulfed in flames.
According to a Facebook post, a woman and her six children live in the home, but were staying at a relative's house for the night at the time of the fire. The post says the children are between the ages of 4 and 15.
Members of the community are organizing locations where clothing, gift card and Christmas present donations can be dropped off. That information can be found here.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
