True Value store owners, Andy Amrhein of Evey True Value Hardware, Mike Broniszewski of Sarver True Value and Ed Pfiefer of Pfiefer Hardware & Supply field calls from listeners as the host of the True Value Home Improvement Hour every Saturday from 10 – 11 am on NewsRadio 1020 KDKA.

On the air since 1995, our Mr. True Values give out advice on any and every home improvement question, from painting and tiling to gardening and grilling.
The co-hosts solve listener’s home improvement problems, introduce new products and suggest important projects for the season. They aim to satisfy listeners’ every home improvement need.

Andy’s Bio:
Owner of Evey True Value Hardware on Library Road (RT. 88) in Bethel Park, Amrhein draws on over 35 years of experience in hardware and home improvement to answer listeners’ questions. His hardware career began in 1973 at the young age of 13, when he mopped the floors of Evey Hardware. After becoming a shift manager and later general manager of the store, he purchased the business from its founder Ed Evey in January 1995. Today Andy Amrhein sees his customers on a daily basis at his store and weekly basis on the air, reminding them that “help is just around the corner.”

In addition to the True Value Home Improvement Hour on KDKA Radio, Amrhein can also be found explaining home improvement techniques and products on KDKA TV. He appears every Thursday on Pittsburgh Today Live during the 9 am hour to demonstrate home improvement projects for viewers.
