Catholic Diocese Files Lawsuit Over Birth Control Mandate
Led by Bishop David Zubik, the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh, Catholic Charities and Catholic Cemeteries filed a 60-page lawsuit against the Obama administration’s Health and Human Services Department over a controversial mandate on birth control and other women’s health services.
Bishop Zubik Unhappy With Obama Administration
Catholic Bishop David Zubik used strong words today to describe his unhappiness at the Obama Administration. The issue is over whether Catholic-run institutions should be required to offer their employees an insurance plan that covers contraceptives.
