Pittsburgh Public Schools officials are concerned about the district’s future finances.
After months of failing to find a way to gain ground in the presidential campaign, Mitt Romney has hit the reset button by picking Paul Ryan as his running mate, but once the dust has settled and the Conventions are over, it is hard to see how Romney will have changed the direction of the 2012 presidential campaign.
Hundreds of people are voicing their concerns today about proposed fare hikes and service cuts by the Port Authority.
The last round of Port Authority cuts were called draconian. The next round, which is currently being explored, would cut even deeper. It would be the largest in the Port Authority’s 48-year history.
The Port Authority proposed more fare hikes and service cuts to deal with a budget deficit at a meeting Wednesday morning.
Facing a massive deficit, there could be several more changes and cuts made to the Pittsburgh Public Schools system.
