It was a day of remembrance on Pittsburgh’s North Shore Saturday as fallen police officers were remembered at the Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.
Officer Derek Kotecki was posthumously awarded a medal of honor Friday night during a ceremony at Burrell High School.
Another arrest has been made in the shooting death of a Westmoreland County police officer.
Seven people are facing charges in connection to the shooting death of Lower Burrell police officer Derek Kotecki. Kotecki was killed after he was ambushed by 33-year-old Charles Post, a fugitive, in the parking lot of the Dairy Queen in the 300-block of Greensburg Road back in October.
