Duquesne School District
An audit by state Auditor General Eugene DePasquale found school districts are hurting financially because Governor Corbett and the legislature no longer reimburse school districts when their students attend charter schools. KDKA’s Jon Delano has the story.
The state may force the Duquesne City School District to close at the end of the school year. In 2007, the state closed down the district’s high school, but they still have more than 400 students in elementary and middle school classes.
