An approaching cold front will bring the threat of damaging winds to the area during the afternoon and early evening hours on Monday.

The day started off tranquil, but the winds are set to pick up, temperatures will tumble and rain will move in then switch over to snow later in the day.

Cool temperatures, gusty winds and a sprinkle or two will make for a blustery Thursday across the Pittsburgh area. KDKA meteorologist Dennis Bowman says southwest winds will gust at 15 to 35 miles per hour at times.
