Liquor Privitization Bill
Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf said Tuesday he will veto the Republican-crafted spending plan that the GOP’s huge majorities in the state Legislature sent to him just hours before the state government’s fiscal year ended.
The Pennsylvania House of Representatives is beginning debate on another proposal to privatize the operations of much of the state-controlled wine and liquor store system.
The state Senate held its third and final hearing Tuesday on a variety of plans to privatize part or all of the state’s wine and spirits business.
So far it’s been mostly Governor Corbett and his allies arguing for privatization of the liquor system. But another side is about to be heard.
