Charlie Morton took a shutout into the eighth inning Saturday, and unlike last night with Paul Maholm, the Pirates bats gave their pitcher enough support for a win at PNC Park. Lyle Overbay added his first home run at home this season and Andrew McCutchen had a two-run double in the 6-1 victory over the Houston Astros.
With the Bucs (15-17) just one game shy of .500 and coming off a winning road series against the San Diego Padres, hopes were high at PNC Park for the home team.
