Pirate fans did something today they haven’t done for years: held a Pirate playoff pep rally in Market Square.
Ahead of the Pirates first playoff appearance in 20 years, a rally will be held Monday to get the fans fired up for the big Wild Card game.
“We’ve rebuilt downtown. We’ve recreated a neighborhood here, and I’m just really pleased and excited to be part of that,” said Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl.
