A new pain killer has gotten FDA approval. It’s called Zohydro. It’s the narcotic hydrocodone that is designed to be released over 12 hours. But some disapprove.
Jefferson Regional Medical Center says that a medication labeled as the narcotic Oxycodone, actually contained a non-narcotic drug. The hospital says that a pharmacy technician who handled medication packaging in the hospital pharmacy substituted another medication for the narcotic. After an internal investigation the employee was fired.
