Police have stepped up patrols along Penn Avenue since two bicyclists were hit and killed in the last two weeks. But now there is extra concern as local roads will be filled with bike riders for this weekend’s Pedal Pittsburgh festivities.
There was a wake in Wilkinsburg for a man who was killed while riding his bike last week. James Price, 46, of Homewood, was the victim of a hit-and-run early last Wednesday morning on Penn Avenue in the city’s Point Breeze section.
