The man who owns an access road leading to a gas well is speaking out about what he calls a misunderstanding with a security guard. It happened off of Rillton-Sutersville Road in Sewickley Township around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Suspects Sought In Norvelt Golf Course Arson

State police need your help to identify two people who started a fire at the Norvelt Golf Course in Westmoreland County. Police released photos Tuesday of two young men believed to be minors because they believe the people in the photos are responsible for the arson.

Driver T-Bones Car During Rte. 66 Road Rage Incident

Police say a man intentionally hit another vehicle twice during a road rage incident. James Shaffer, 33, told police he had been arguing with his girlfriend before going for a drive on Route 66 in Hempfield.

Hempfield Man Shoots Friend’s Foot Instead Of Groundhog

A man told police he was trying to shoot a groundhog, but he says the scope was off on his gun and he ended up shooting his friend instead. It happened outside 51-year-old James Sullivan’s home on Abell Lane in Hempfield.

Road Rage Possibly A Factor In Westmoreland Co. Hit-And-Run

Police are investigating a hit-and-run in Westmoreland County. It happened along Motordome Road in South Huntingdon around 2 a.m. Monday. Police say 23-year-old Cori Amanato was stopped in the northbound lane when a Monte Carlo pulled up beside her, effectively blocking the road.

Local Care Home Worker Charged With Punching Patient

An employee at a care home is charged with putting a mentally-challenged man in a headlock and punching him in the side. Adam Kachmarek, 23, is charged with neglecting a care dependent person, simple assault and harassment.
