Police are investigating a hit-and-run in Westmoreland County. It happened along Motordome Road in South Huntingdon around 2 a.m. Monday. Police say 23-year-old Cori Amanato was stopped in the northbound lane when a Monte Carlo pulled up beside her, effectively blocking the road.
An employee at a care home is charged with putting a mentally-challenged man in a headlock and punching him in the side. Adam Kachmarek, 23, is charged with neglecting a care dependent person, simple assault and harassment.
State police released surveillance video today that they are hoping will help them solve a burglary in Acme. The Come and Get It on Route 31 was burglarized early Saturday morning.
Pennsylvania State Police in Greensburg recovered more than 150 grams of synthetic marijuana that was being sold at a local gas station primarily to teens and young adults.
A man is accused of stalking a Greensburg woman, but police are concerned there could be more victims. John Bennish, 49, of Hempfield, is charged with stalking and burglary.
