Communities are beginning the cleanup process after two waves of storms caused damage across the area on Thursday, but there is a chance for another round of wet weather today.

The evening storms did plenty of damage in the northern parts of the Pittsburgh area. Trees were knocked down in several locations in New Castle. One tree fell on a house on Moody Avenue. About a mile to the north, more trees were down on Edgewood Avenue.

Storms, Lightning Cause Damage In Plum

Two homes in Plum were damaged Thursday evening as the latest round of severe weather rolled through the area. According to Allegheny County emergency dispatchers, there were lightning strikes all over the county, including in North Fayette, Robinson, Plum and Forward Township.
