KDKA Radio’s Robert Mangino talks with Marge Krueger, administrative director with District 2-13 of the Communications Workers of America, about the 45,000 Verizon employees currently on strike due to an impasse in new contract negotiations.
Verizon workers nationwide are on strike, including roughly 12,000 local employees. The walkout began over the weekend after negotiations failed. A large protest was held at 8 a.m. outside of Verizon’s downtown headquarters.
More than 12,000 local Verizon workers have joined other union workers in a nationwide strike against Verizon.
