Local bars and clubs are always looking for unique themes to attract patrons. While some are the typical happy hour specials or $2 Bud Light deals, others are far more imaginative. Below is a night-by-night listing of local bars that host these special theme nights!

Mondays: AcoustiCafe Open Stage

Located in the Southside, Club Café is a small venue that features an open stage every Monday. Local artists are able to test out their home recordings to supportive audience members. Hosted by Chuck Rocha, the night is mirrored from successful open stages in both Nashville and New York City. This is a way for many artists to network along with patrons and similarly minded music peers. While featuring mostly acoustic soloists, you can find several bands trying out their new sound every Monday night. Grab a bite to eat and a couple of drinks as the night begins at 6:30pm.

Relax at the outdoor patio and pay only $1 per basket of country fried pork until you can eat no more. Because, let's face it, who doesn't love bacon? Harris Grill is in the heart of Shadyside on Ellsworth Avenue.

Competition can get fierce as you are playing for bar tab credits. Hipster music plays between the questions as a DJ spins the entire evening. Brillobox has one of the better craft beer selections under tap including many local breweries. While their menu leaves a little bit to be desired, the atmosphere is bar none.
