Missing Homewood Boy Found In Syracuse

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh police say a 1-year-old boy from Homewood who went missing last week has been found safe in New York.

According to Pittsburgh police, Raymont Pope was found safe in Syracuse on Wednesday with his father, Radford Pope.

Officials say Pope does not have custody rights and is under a protection from abuse order.

The boy's mother reported him missing last week after she tried to pick him up from his grandmother's house.

Radford Pope is being held in a jail in Syracuse while awaiting extradition back to Pittsburgh.

Police say he is facing charges of interference with custody of children and kidnapping.
