Suspect Who Crashed Into Houses Facing Charges

McKEES ROCKS (KDKA) -- A man who led police on a brief chase before slamming into two houses in Esplen early this morning is now facing a list of charges.

Police have identified the suspect as Devon Johnson, 23, of McKees Rocks.

According to police, the incident began around 4:30 a.m. in McKees Rocks when two officers tried to pull over Johnson's Audio for an equipment violation.

Instead of pulling over, though, police say Johnson sped off.

Less than minute later, police say Johnson lost control of his car and crashed into two houses in the 300-block of Slope Street.

Officials say Johnson then tried to run away; but one of the officers used a Taser to take him into custody.

Johnson is now facing a list of charges, including fleeing or attempting to elude police, recklessly endangering another person and driving with a suspended license
