Last Suspect In Canton Twp. Double Shooting Arrested

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The last suspect in a double shooting that took place last month in Washington County has been arrested.

Police say Tevin Heyman was arrested Tuesday on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

Last month, police said a father and son were injured after being shot at the Cozy Corner Bar on Euclid Avenue in Canton Township in the early morning of June 6.

"Victim No. 1, Akili Sutton, became involved in a verbal argument with a man outside the bar. He left, came back inside and grabbed his father, Robert Sutton, victim No. 2," State Police Detective Thomas Schuster said last month.

Schuster said when the Suttons were outside, Akili was struck from behind and knocked unconscious. He fell face first to the concrete, while his father went after the man who delivered the punch.

Two other people have already been charged in the shooting, including Rebecca Kohn and Heyman's stepbrother Eric Johnson, Jr.
