MURRYSVILLE (KDKA) -- The cows on the loose in Murrysville were spotted early Tuesday morning in the front yard of a home.

According to the Murrysville Police Department's Facebook page, the cows were seen grazing and making their way through the area of Trefoil Drive around 6 a.m.

Officials say the owner of the cows has not yet been identified.

However, they are asking people in the area who own Aberdeen Angus cattle to do a headcount to see if any are missing.

Meanwhile, the Westmoreland County Animal Response Team is now setting up a feed station in hopes of capturing the roaming animals.

Reports of the cows wandering the area first came in at the beginning of the month. They were spotted in the area of School Road South and Boxcartown Road, as well as by the Manor Valley Golf Course.

They are asking anyone with information on the owners to give them a call at 724-327-2100 ext. 200, or dial 911.
