PITTSBURGH (NEWSRADIO 1020 KDKA) — KDKA’s Larry and John talk to two tornado eyewitnesses with amazing stories to tell as they survived the storm.

“My car was being hit by everything and anything. There was just a huge swirl of everything coming at you,” said Sandra Lowe.

She watched the funnel cloud form while driving on Arona Road in Greensburg. She drove into an open field to keep from getting hit by falling trees and debris.

“Everyone was panacking out in the streets, and we started yelling at everyone to get inside,” Nick Faggulia said.

He was in the parking lot of Hempfield Area High School and videotaping the tornado when he realized the it was coming right for the school.
