Man Dies 3 Weeks After Helicopter Crash

INDIANA, Pa. (KDKA/AP) – A man injured in a helicopter crash near the IUP campus last month has died.

Greg Jacobsen, 33, of Thunder Bay, Ontario, was on board when the chopper crashed on April 30. He died Monday after developing respiratory problems during his recovery.

The crash happened around 9 p.m. near an alley between two buildings on Klondyke Avenue.

The crew on board the chopper came to IUP to film a reality television show called “Campus PD,” which follows campus police officers around to document night-life activities.

The pilot and another crew member were also hurt in the crash.

A fourth crew member walked away from the crash uninjured.

Greg Jacobsen’s blood is on the hands of every obese wanna be cop, mall guard and volunteer fire fighter who sits at home and lives vicariously through shows like “Campus PD”
