EAST MCKEESPORT (KDKA) — Police have made an arrest following a child luring in East McKeesport.

The incident happened last Wednesday when four teenage boys were walking along Route 30.

Police have arrested and charged 49-year-old Stevie Dane Jump. He is originally from Howell, MI.

He is charged with three counts of luring.

The teenagers told police last week that Jump initially approached them to ask how to get to Monroeville.

“The kids did a really great job,” police chief Russell Stroschein said. “They got the license plate number of the car. They got a description with the make, model and color. And (they got) a good description of the person driving it.”

He then gave them money and asked if they would like a ride. The boys went into the GetGo to call police, but Jump drove off.

He is now in the Allegheny County Jail. His bail is set at $50,000.

Police say he has no record and they aren’t sure why he was in the East McKeesport area.
