IRWIN (KDKA) — A show dog that ran away after being spooked by fireworks on the Fourth of July has been found.

Quince’s owners tell KDKA-TV they got a phone call at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday that the Australian Shepherd was spotted in someone’s driveway on Pleasant Valley Road in Irwin.

Once his owners, found him, they took him to the vet. Quince had a few cuts on his paws and a sore rear left leg, but was in good health.

His handlers say they are going to let Quince rest for at least a month before they consider showing him again.
